What’s Your Vision for the World?
ByI created a new blog after I watched Michael Moore’s movie about Capitalism. For many years I was active in political campaigns, and was on protests and working hard to change the world, to a fairer, more just world in which all people were honoured and valued. I found myself questioning a lot of things in these movements and in politics. All the anger and the antagonism, and the lack of compassion with others stopped became less appealing, and I looked to develop my spiritual life and left politics.
The words of Thich Naht Hahn made a big impact on me at the time – something like “there will be peace when the peace movement learns to speak with words of peace.” and Ghandhi’s ” be the change you want to see in the world.”
For nearly 20 years, I’ve done nothing “political”, as I developed my spiritual aspect. I always had a feeling that at some point things will come together in me, the spiritual and the desire for social change and to do my part to create a more peaceful, caring world.
For several years now, I have been studying and understanding more and more of the Law of Attraction – or Deliberate Creation. When I was watching Micheal Moore’s movie, I felt the desire to do something, but I didn’t want that to involve anger and blame. I had the idea to create this site, so that people can share their vision for the future – a place where rockets of desire can be launched for how we want to create the world of the future.
I’m not planning to write that much. Just to write thoughts whenever they come. What I’d love is for people to write their comments and share ideas and visions so that we can co-create a world where all people and beings are loved, cherished and valued. Share words and pictures, and music that is inspirational, and will be a place to come to when we want to connect with others who share our vision.
This is my start:
“I see the world as wonderful – truly wonderful. I love the variety, the strength, the magnificence. I see such beauty and such strength of spirit. I see such love and compassion, as people help and support each other. There is so much abundance and love everywhere, such harmony and balance. I love the way people are taking responsibility for their own thoughts and are so connected to spirit and the universe. I embrace the contrasts which give me such opportunity for growth, such wealth of experience and allow me to launch new rockets of desire.”
I’d love it if you wanted to write something – you can write a comment – at http://www.myvisionfortheworld.com , or if you want to contribute and write posts, email me and I’ll set you up as a contributor on the site. I’d love that.

Hi Christine
I actually saw Michael More’s documentary as well, or at least most of it!
I was very tired and was trying to desperately to stay awake, but I do know that I did snooze once or twice. But it was heartening to see and hear what he had to say….not because it was all doom, gloom and deceipt, but because there are others out there who are not asleep to what is going on in the world!
It is frightening when you see a series of things put together on film, it really brings it home. I was surprised that he managed to get it on air!
My feeling on this is that if each of us can keep our hearts open and keep ourselves healthy in mind and spirit, then we will go a long way to increasing the consciousness around us.

Thanks Monica – very well put.
