Is it possible to STAY in a higher vibrational level permanently??
Posted by: | CommentsWe had a great teleseminar last night, looking at how to Raise Your Vibrational Level.
Someone asked a question -Is it possible to STAY in a higher vibrational level permanently??
In answer I replied that I hadn’t learnt to do it yet!! So I’m not the one to show you how to – I do believe that maybe some people do, the truly enlightened beings – I don’t know any personally, so I don’t know for sure.
I was reflecting about it after the call. I know that I have heard stories of the Dalai Lama, when he gets upset, he is totally in the moment and upset about whatever is happening, and when that is past, it is past. It is like children or animals – they can get extreme emotions, but when they are gone, they are gone. I remember Eckhart Tolle speaking of the great insight he gained after sitting in a park and watching two ducks have a vicious fight. When they turned away from each other, they both shook their bodies – shaking the last of the anger out. Then it was gone!
As adults, we tend to not complete our emotions – we shut them down, or keep expressing them without fully letting them leave our system. It’s this that I believe lowers our vibrational frequency. The old residual emotions that we haven’t shaken off.
Another factor that influences us, is our desire to feel safe and comfortable and FAMILIAR. This means that we often choose to spend a lot of time in states of fear, anxiety, anger, loneliness etc – not because we like them, but because they are familiar to us. You can really observe this, if you find yourself repeating a pattern time and time again – you’re not choosing the event, you’re choosing the feeling. It’s a paradox, that we would choose something that is at the same time extremely uncomfortable, but at the same time comforting in its familiarity. If you let your body release the old emotions, and also help yourself to gradually get used to what it is like to feel comfortable at a different vibrational level, you’ll notice that you don’t need to keep repeating those patterns.
We are always going to have sadness, upset, anger, fear in our life – we are human, and these feelings give us the contrasts. They give a richness – you cannot truly love without knowing the pain of loss. We do have a choice however, as to whether we choose to live MOST of our time here, or whether we choose to spend most our time in the feelings of love, gratitude, compassion, abundance.
On the call we looked at ways of releasing the emotions stored up in your body, and also ways of gradually increasing the amount of time that you spend at the higher vibrational levels. The more that you do this, the more familiar they will come to feel to you, and you will feel safer there than in the lower vibrational levels.

Attract Abundance into Your Life – What A Wonderful World
Posted by: | Commentsf you’re spending a lot of time feeling worried and anxious about your financial situation, your relationship with money is definitely not in as good a state as it could be. This means that your thoughts and feelings about money are not lined up with the money experience that you want to have. Before your financial situation can change, your energy (i.e. thoughts, feelings, beliefs and actions) have to change – when they do, you will start to notice changes. Here are 3 things that you can start to do NOW to change your relationship with money.
1. Ask yourself, what would it be like if money was EASY? If everything about money in your life was easy. There was no struggle! Wouldn’t that feel great? Most of us have grown up with the belief that money is hard – we talk much more about the struggle, and difficulties we have with money. There are times when the circumstances of our lives feel hard – it’s even more important then, that we find a way to lighten our relationship with money. What would it be like if your language and thoughts about money, were about how easy it is to have money in your life. If you were money, would you want to spend more time with someone who thought that you were easy to be with, or that it was a struggle? Have a game with yourself – if you find yourself thinking about money in a way that is hard – just pick a word to say like EASY, or SIMPLE or something that means easy to you. Say it as often as you can when you think about money. It will seem strange at first – but if you do it consistently, you will notice that things around money get to seem a bit easier for you. That will encourage you to keep doing it!.
2. Start appreciating where prosperity is in your life! It’s really easy to focus on what you don’t have – but that won’t help you to attract what you do want to you. Look around you and be thankful for all the you have – family, friends, warmth, shelter, nourishment, nature, money etc. Every time you do have money – be grateful for it. Even if it is just a small amount. If you really don’t have any money in your life, start by appreciating it in other people’s money. Rather then being jealous or resentful of other people, see all the good things about money. Make sure that you are sending out positive thoughts about money during the day.
3. Spend time every day, IMAGINING what it will be like when you feel abundant. Don’t wait until you have the money, or whatever else you want. Really feel the feelings – let them go right through your body. Imagine yourself with the life style you want. Let the feelings flow through your body. You don’t need a lot of money to feel wealthy! You can feel start to feel it, before it is even happening. Even if your situation seems bad – imagine yourself in a different place – let the new feelings that you will have flow through your body. You are preparing yourself to receive, and opening up the new possibilities. If you start doing these 3 things, you’ll be preparing yourself for a sense of abundance to come into your life. You’ll be making yourself ready for the new experience and sense of prosperity that will soon be coming your way.

Spiritual Prosperity -Can You Have it Without Being Wealthy?
Posted by: | CommentsThe word prosper comes from the Latin word prosperitas,- meaning ”to do well”. It started to become widely used in the Middle Ages, and was generally used to mean – fortunate, successful, agreeable to one’s wishes.
To me it means a sense of well – being, of being deeply grateful for everything in my life. This means people – my friends and family, the beauty of nature and everything around me, the opportunities and possibilities that I have, the animals in my life, the food everything.
Is this dependent on having money?
To me, it is helped by knowing that my basic needs are met – not my wants, my needs. To know that I have food, water, shelter and clothing. I have been really lucky, and only had those basic things threatened a few times in my life, and each time, I was amazed by the help and support I received.I never believed that they would last, because I was born into a society and family that gave me the basis on which to believe that these would be provided,However, I do think that to live in a constant state of insecurity around having your basic needs met would not be easy to cope with.
We have all seen the joy on children’s faces living in India and Africa – where materially children people don’t have so much. I think everyone is struck by those looks of pure joy – and we realise that we don’t see them so often on our children’s faces in the West, when there is so much focus placed on our “wants”. Children are taught at a young age that there is always something else to want.
I don’t mean the look of desperation on the faces of people who are in famine, or war situations and are starving and terrified. I mean the looks on the faces of people who do have sufficient to eat, and are relatively secure.
So to me – if my needs are met and my wants are few, I really do feel prosperous. I feel connected to my Spirit and deeply grateful for everything that I have. When I feel that way, I can sit and watch the birds flying to and fro from the tree outside my office window for ages, and feel so prosperous.
I can feel when I am being pulled away from this sense of spiritual well-being, or prosperity. There is nearly always an increase in my wants – whether it is for material things, affection, food or whatever. I know I have gone from being grateful to what I have, to wanting what I don’t have. Re-connecting myself with that deep sense of gratitude always brings me back to Prosperity.
The best way I have found to really feel the gratitude is to take one thing in my life and really focus on everything I am grateful for about it.
For instance if I think of the bottle of water I have by my side now – I am grateful for:
the water that quenches my thirst
the filter I have in my home that purifies it
the people that made the filter – and all of the parts on it
the person who took the time to put a video up to show how to instal the filter
God for bringing the rain
the people who collect the water in the reservoirs
the people who invented ways of bringing water into our houses – at the turn of a tap!
and more and more and more……..
When I am feeling this grateful, I always know that I am vibrating at a level, that is bound to attract just the right things for me to prosper into my life.
A Valentine’s Message for YOURSELF!!
Posted by: | CommentsI just received my daily message from www.tut.com. I loved this one so much - I want to share it, and to encourage you to sign up for your own daily messages. There’s nothing in it for me – they’re free. I want you to get the messages, and to experience the inspiration that they give me. You could copy this message and change my name for yours – it’s always nice to receive them through the mail with your own name on them I think.
I’ve just realised that it’s nearly Valentine’s Day – so that has given me the title for this post!
“Think that it’s fun, Christine, that you’re guided, and that all is well; that there’s time, that life is easy, and that the best has yet to come.
Think that the reasons that elude you will one day catch up, that the lessons that have stumped you will one day bring joy, and that the sorrows that have crippled you will soon give you wings.
Think that you’re important, that you cannot fail, and that happiness always returns.
And think that you’re beautiful, Christine.
I do.
The Universe”
I wanted to put Van Morrisson here, but amazingly I couldn’t find him singing this on YouTube – so here’s Rod Stewart for you instead.
Somewhere over the Rainbow
Posted by: | CommentsI live near to the Cliffs of Moher, in the West of Ireland. We’re quite high up, and Ireland is known for the rain, so we have quite a few days, when we’re in the mist, when a short way down the hill people are in the sun!
The other Saturday, I woke up to a beautiful, clear sunny day – glorious, after all the snow we had been having. I had arranged to meet a friend at one of our favourite beaches in the camper van, to go for a walk on the beach, have lunch and catch up with the Christmas news. We’ve also bought some Spanish CD’s between us because we’re going to Seville for a week in March and we wanted to swop them. (this is an aside, if you ever want to learn a language – Michel Thomas is EXCELLENT – he does a series of CD’s for several languages, and you’ll be speaking them before you know it.)
Anyway, as I was setting off, my friend rang to say that there was a terrible freezing fog and that the conditions were really bad - she lives about 20 miles in land from me. I assured her all was perfect and sunny by the coast. I got about half a mile from my house and I was in the fog!!
It was such a strange day – if you were high enough you were in brilliant sunshine – or if not you were straight into freezing fog! It was magical – like fairyland.
The beach we were meeting at was in the fog. We talked about going up high to get to the sun, but we love that beach so much that we decided to stay there. It was really strange to be walking on the beach and hardly able to see the sea. I went into the sea later and that was even stranger.
We were talking about how like life it is – and how hard to remember sometimes. That the sun is only ever just behind a cloud, or somewhere very close. Just because we can’t see it at that moment doesn’t mean that it’s not there. The trick is to find ways to remind yourself of the sun, when it seems like it’s gone forever.
This song is one of the things that helps me to remember the sun on the days when I can’t feel its warmth.
Behind the clouds
Posted by: | CommentsI’ve been working inside at the computer all day. Being very productive – writing my blog and articles and putting some action to projects that I have been thinking about for a while. Whilst I was really inspired, I am always aware that too much time at the computer drains my energy – even though I have crystals and plants around, it still has a strange effect on me. Going in the sea, usually washes it all away, but today was a misty, dull day.
I kept thinking that it would be best to go out, but somehow, it wasn’t very inviting! One of the many benefits of having 4 dogs is that they get me outside to walk, even on those days when it is very unappealing. Today, even the dogs and cat seemed happy to curl up by the fire!!!
Around 5.30, when it was just getting dark. I realised that I would feel much better if I got out in the rain, so I put my rain gear on and set out with the dogs. It was BEAUTIFUL!! Calm and still, what we call a soft day here – the kind where the mist falls on your face and softens your skin ( for free!!). The light was beautiful and I was so happy. And so were the dogs! I had loads of ideas of new projects and things that I want to do, as well as time to just walk and be.
It made me think how often that can happen in life. I had been looking outside, thinking what a horrible day it was. And it wasn’t at all. It was just my thinking that was horrible about the day. Even though I had been very happy and content inside and very grateful for being cosy and snug, I was still thinking things about the weather that turned out not to be true!! I was thinking of other areas of my life where I can do that – make something a problem, that is not a problem at all, just my my thinking!!
It’s always great to be reminded of these things.
What in your life are you telling yourself is a problem – when there may be another way to look at it?
With Gratitude….
Posted by: | CommentsIt was a foggy, January day today here in the West of Ireland – but hundreds of people were out walking on the beach, surfing, canoeing and having a good time.
We went down in our camper – affectionally called Sweet Mayo, which we bought unseen from Ebay 18 months ago. We donned our wetsuits and went into the sea. At 54, I’m not quite yet ready to let go of my desire to learn to surf, although something that has always been a challenge to me, seems to be more challenging as the years go by. So, this year, I am seriously applying myself, in small steps to achieving my dream of standing up on a surf board!
I’m starting with just getting used to going in the sea in the winter consistently, which I haven’t really done before. I just go in and mess around on my belly board and that’s enough for now. It inspires me to get fitter, and to develop my suppleness and my stamina, so that I can take all the next steps.
After I had been in the sea today and was getting changed inside the camper, I was hit with a huge wave of gratitude for Sweet May.
- she provides warmth and shelter so I can get changed in any weather
- she is my mobile office – I can bring my computer and drive to beautiful places to work
- she is a great outdoor entertaining space – people often stop by for a chat and a cup of tea when I ‘m out in her
- she provides a holiday whenever I want one – for a few hours, a day, a night or longer
Then I started to think of all the people who had looked after her before I bought her (she was made in 1988) – and felt really grateful for the care they had given her.
And for the people who had made her so well, so that she is still going strong today.
And for the engineers and designers who drew up the plans
And for the people who produced the parts
And the people who made the steel and the materials
And for the people who played their part in inventing the engines over the years
And for the people who build and maintain the roads
And for the people who produce the oil and diesel
And for the people who deliver it all over the world to the people who need it
And to all the other people and animals who who have played their part which I haven’t thought of yet
And to God and the Universe to providing it all.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
It just feels great to have so much gratitude. What I have been doing for a long time is writing down or listing to myself 10 things I am grateful for, before I go to sleep. I’m thing now that I’m going to do what I did today more often, and take just one thing in my life and follow all the threads of gratitude that are in it for me – even the things that I are challenges for me.
