Are You Living Your Dreams?
Posted by: | CommentsI was just listening the radio while making my marmalade – the first time I’ve made it for years!! It feels great to be doing it, and the smell of the fruit is beginning to spread though the house. Delicious!!
John Spillane and his brother were on a radio programme, talking about their lives. John is a well known singer now, but he didn’t really become well known until he was into his thirties. He left his permanent, pensionable job in the bank to pursue his dream of being a singer – not something often done in the recession hit Ireland of the 80′s!!! He often had to borrow money from his accountant brother to keep him going.
He wrote this song to speak to all people to remind them to follow their dreams. It got me thinking of my dreams and how much I am living them – and which ones could do with a bit more oxygen at the moment! Making marmalade is a dream I dreamed last year on holidays in Seville in Spain – a small dream, but great to bringing it to realisation.
Many of my dreams have come true – working from home, having lots of time in the day for walks on the beach, having a network of people around the world who share the same beliefs and ideas that I do. Feeling the support of others. Having money to do the things that I want to do without worrying. Feeling a deepening and growing spiritual connection. They’ve come true in gradual ways – and some in ways that I hadn’t fully realised until reflecting on my dreams.
One of my big dreams that hasn’t come to fruition yet, is to surf and catch a wave. A real wave!! I know that I will, and soon. But I also realised, as I was reflecting, that I am surfing a huge wave – the wave of deliberate creation!!! I am feeling the growing swell of really getting how I create my on reality, and of allowing the things that are waiting for me to come into my physical reality. I am surfing!!!
I thought I’d give you the song here, so you can see how you are with your dreams.
I’ll let you know how the marmalade turns out!!! The smell is getting stronger and more yummy as I write!
Scripting Your Day
Posted by: | CommentsHow do your days unfold for you?
Do you feel as if they just happen – as if you have no control over them? Or do you have to-do-lists which keep growing? Or maybe you have great plans but life keeps sending things to disrupt you.
I find a great tool to keep my days at a high vibe level, is to start the day with 5 minutes scripting. I write mine down in a journal – but you can also say it out loud, or say it in your head if that’s easier for you. You can do it in the shower, walking the dog, or on your way to work. The earlier you do it the better, because it sets your vibration at a higher level to start the day off. If you’re used to doing it one way – in a journal for instance, and don’t have your journal one day – don’t let that stop you – just write it on any piece of paper, or say it for today.
Here are the steps:
1.Connect to your source of Spiritual Connection – to whoever or whatever, that may be. Do it in the way that feels best for you – light a candle, meditate, say a prayer, offer an invitation.
2. Identify what is up for you today. Be honest with yourself.
How are you feeling? What is bothering you? What do you need help on? What is on your mind right now?
You may have:
- a difficult conversation looming
- Financial challenges
- Health concerns
- Worries about your family
- A presentation at work
- Your car in the garage
- A concern about a pet
- etc, etc,
Just identify whatever is there, bring it out into the open and acknowledge its presence.
3. Now Script what you want to experience in your day around the things you’ve just identified.
If other things may come up as you script just include them in the scripting in the way that feels best.
Script what you’d like to experience and the feelings you want to have as you experience them. Really feel the feelings as you’re writing them, as this will activate the vibration in you. It’s the feelings that you want which are more important than the specific outcomes. The Universe often has ways of bringing us the feelings we want in more delicious ways than we can even imagine!! So stay open to the fact that you may not know the best way!
Script for small changes in your vibration, rather than great leaps!! If you reach too far beyond where you really are now, you can reinforce what you don’t have. If you move up the scale in smaller steps, you’re much more likely to get there!
For instance if you are feeling really down about the break-up of a relationship, it may feel too far away to script about a great new romance (although that might be what you ultimately want). But if you script about feeling a sense of enjoyment as you go to movie with a friend – that will bring a shift, and be going in the direction that you want to go in.
4. Go about your day – with a consciousness, that you have set up a vibrational call to certain feelings. If any things happen – make a note of them. At the end of the day, I like to review the day, and to note what happened – what evidence there was that my vibration is attracting different experiences. They may be small or big things, but they are all signs. You can write them down, or say them to yourself.
They may be things like:
- I found the perfect parking space
- A cheque arrived in the post
- Someone smiled at me when I ordered in the cafe
- I found just the right words to say in a difficult conversation
- I seemed to have so much more time than usual today.
- A friend I hadn’t heard from for ages rang out out of the blue
- I saw an ad in a paper I don’t usually read for my perfect job
- Someone contacted me about coaching after reading an article I wrote 2 years ago!!
All of these things are signs that things are moving – note them and celebrate them, and you will be sending the signal that you want more of the same.
Have fun with it!!
Thank you for the Days
Posted by: | CommentsI haven’t felt like writing for a few weeks now. Some of you may have heard that two of my beautiful dogs, Bella and Izzy died very suddenly a month ago. Somehow they ate something poisonous to them, and it killed them both. Luckily, the other two, Rosa and Ruby are fine. It’s a mystery as to how it happened, and of course it has been very, very upsetting, but we are doing better than I would have thought we would. They are all related, so poor Ruby lost her mother and sister in the space of 24 hours, and was so bereft and lost for a few weeks, it was hard to see. Luckily, we have had many friends calling, and coming to stay, and their love and energy has helped. I also was able to give her some Flower Essences, which have really helped her, and she is finding her ground again. The eldest dog, the grandmother, Rosa, is thriving and obviously much happier, now that she has more attention, and less annoyance from the other dogs.
People have been SO kind, and I want to acknowledge that here. We have been so moved and helped by so many people, some we don’t even know. There has been great healing – people with whom relations had not been great, have forgotten all that in their shock over what happened, and reached out to us. It’s been wonderful.
So here is my rampage of appreciation for Bella and Izzy – in their lives with us, and in all that they have brought to us in their passing, and to all the people who have helped along the way. Having the beautiful spirits of those two wonderful animals in our lives was extraordinary and we are SO grateful to them.
Thank you for:
- the beautiful walks – seeing the four of you bounding with unbridled joy across the bog.
- the most deeply giving, allowing hugs from Bella.
- Bella’s most beautiful golden locks.
- Izzy’s boldness and enthusiasm and freedom of Spirit.
- The 4 part harmonies of morning Howlings!
- The trust they had in us and gave to us.
- The healing that came in their passing.
- The massive support from friends and family.
- The massive support from people in GVU and my unmet friends on Facebook.
- All the offers of healing and conversations with the spirits of Bella and Izzy.
- The daily walks on the beach with Ruby and Rosa.
and SO much more.
Thank you.
Wouldn’t it be nice if………….
Posted by: | CommentsIn Process #12 of “Ask and It is Given”, Abraham talks through Esther Hicks of a way to turn something around to a more positive feeling, if you are leaning towards the negative, and feeling some resistance.
He says “When you say, ‘I want this thing to happen that hasn’t happened yet,’ you are not only activating the vibration of your desire, you are also activating a vibration of the absence of your desire – so nothing changes for you. And often, even when you do not speak the second part of the sentence and you say only, ‘I want this to happen,’ there is an unspoken vibration within you that continues to hold you in a state of not allowing our desire.”
He then talks about playing around with things that seem a bit out our reach by coming up with “Wouldn’t it be nice if…………….” sentences. I LOVE this, and find it really helpful, if I am feeling stuck in some way. It has an almost instant affect of lighten up my vibration around things, and opening up a much greater feeling of possibility.
I was inspired to write this post today, because I’m just back from driving my lovely niece to her first Junior Certificate Exam. There are two weeks of exams for 16 and 18 years olds in Ireland now, and people can get very stressed! My niece doesn’t really enjoy school and that kind of study much, and wasn’t feeling great about going into the exams – she’s much rather be surfing!! So in the car on the way in we played WOULDN’T IT BE NICE IF………….
We came up with some great ones and were laughing having a great time on the journey, so of course, she felt much better going into the exam.
Here are some of the ones we came up with:
Wouldn’t it be nice if:
- the weather was dull on the exam days and sunny at the weekends
- if I enjoyed my exams a bit (my suggestion)
- if I enjoyed them a lot!!! (her suggestion)
- if the questions were just the ones I wanted
- I could easily remember everything I know
- if the time went by really quickly
- if I did better than I thought I could
- if my revision went really well this afternoon, and I could surf for an hour tonight
- If every time I felt stuck on a question, I asked God for help and remembered the answer
and more.
Abraham gives suggestions like
“Would it be nice if I stumbled across something that really worked for me.”
“Would it be nice if I looked like I did in this picture.”
“Wouldn’t it be nice if I discovered this to be much easier than its been before.”
Play around with it and see how you get on, and if you can feel the difference it makes to your vibrational level. Let us know some of your great – “Wouldn’t it be nice ifs…….”
Pure Joy – this will Raise Your Vibrational Level.

I’ve just been introduced to Sister Rosette Tharpe and know that I’ll be coming back to her again and again – and I want to share this wonderful sound!! It makes me just feel so happy listening to it, my vibe is zinging. To see such joy and passion and love is infectious!!
Hope you love it too…..
When you are visualising what you want – make sure you’re wearing your own shoes!!!
Posted by: | CommentsI was just listening to a call with Communion of Light at Good Vibe U – and got a new understanding on the Cinderella story, that I wanted to share with you.
Someone had asked a question about visualising – about how to imagine a new future for yourself. The person asking the question was like a lot of people, like I used to be, and was having difficulty visualising. The discussion was around, maybe using the word imagining, rather that visualising. Using all your senses – seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling – the ones that you are most comfortable with. The ones you use if you are thinking of your old bedroom, or your 18th birthday, or your child’s first birthday – use what is familiar to you.
They used the analogy of Cinderella and the shoes. It made sense to me in a way that it hadn’t before. When Prince Charming came to see who owned the shoe, that was the key to his heart – the Ugly Sisters tried to pretend that the shoes fitted them, and they walked around balancing precariously on the shoes, and tried to balance. But Prince Charming knew that they weren’t fitting correctly. He recognised Cinderella, even when she was dressed in her old, cleaning clothes, away from the glamour of the ball, because the shoes were the right fit for her.
You can read hundreds of books, go to workshops, listen to great speakers, listen to the advice of family and friends, listen to things online, go to religious gatherings etc, etc, etc, etc – but ultimately, you have to be comfortable walking in your shoes. Your shoes have to fit you, if you are going to find your Prince Charming!!! You have to be doing the things and following the practices, and thinking the thoughts that are right for you. You can’t borrow them from other people. You can try out other people’s ideas and see if they fit you, but it’s really important that you find what is your ideal fit.
Now, who Prince Charming is, or what he represents is different for all of us too. It might be relationship, career, abundance, family, home, travel – anything that is an object of desire. We know from the story that Prince Charming is genuine (always good to know that, and to know that we aren’t desiring something that is a sham) – so when we are in our own shoes and being our authentic selves, we are a match for our most genuine desires!!
I’m looking forward to watching Cindrella again with this new insight!
It’s A New Day – and I’m Feeling Good.
Posted by: | CommentsI just wanted to give some feedback about how I got on yesterday after my “out of sorts” start to the day. Well…….as things tend to, it turned out to be a great day!
I spent the first part tuning into my feelings and my body, and just let the energy do what it wanted and just “allowed” it to be whatever it was. I realised that one of the things I was feeling was a bit lonely and isolated, because I’d been lying low for a few days with a cold. It felt good to know that was a trigger to my feelings.
Next, I spent a great hour on self care – listening to a great podcast from one of the Communion of Light talks at Good Vibe U (my favourite place online to hang out when I want inspiration). So, as I body-brushed and plumed and groomed myself, giving great vibes to myself, I listened to a great conversation about Contrasts. Contrasts are when we come up against something that takes us away from our Source, and the good feelings we want to have. My contrast yesterday was a very minor one, sometimes they are much more major – sickness, loss, major disruption. What contrasts do is to launch “rockets of desire” – they help you to get clearer on what you DO WANT, by showing you clearly WHAT YOU DO NOT WANT. So, in the contrast, you can find out how to make your life better – by creating the vision of what you do want, and putting the majority of your focus there, you will get to where you want to go. Everything is waiting for you – your future in vibrational form – your part is to line up vibrationally to receive it. To do that, you have to take your focus away from what is happening now – that is the result of previous vibrational output. Line up with the future you – feel it as it if it is happening now, no matter how far away it seems (it’s much closer than you think) – see and feel yourself, being, doing, having whatever it is you want. Everything that was ever created or invented started in the imagination.
Surfing Dogs……

Home Sweet Home – a rampage of Appreciation
Posted by: | CommentsI spent the last 2 weeks in a beautiful place by the Indian Ocean – lovely people, blue skies and sun most of the time in autumn!) and truly deeply relaxing and rejuvenating. I feel so grateful and appreciative that I had such a wonderful experience, and that my hold up due to the volcano let me stay there for a few days longer.

Now………….
I am sitting here in my lovely home – high up on the West Coast of Ireland, often very windy, often in the mist, rarely days of unbroken sun and blue skies even in the summer, as the weather blows in from the Atlantic – and I LOVE it.

- the fantastic views
- the ever changing skies
- my beautifully exhuberant and enthusiastic dogs
- my beloved Atlantic Ocean
- my talented and loving Kots
- my playful and fun cat – and her loving relationship with the dogs
- my great friends who minded the house and dogs when we were delayed on our journey home, and their warm welcome.
- the space and quiet
- the endless space to walk the dogs right outside the front door.
- the community
- having broadband (at times, it seemed we’d not get it here, and an angel intervened and got us hooked up against the odds, thank you Noel).
- working from home and having so much time and space to do the things that I love
- GVU and the support I have received and continue to receive, and the fantastic calls and the connections across the miles
- all the people who are coming to my teleseminars and the great connections I am building with them.
and so much more…….
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
Homeward bound…..
Posted by: | CommentsI feel that I am homeward bound on an inner and an outer level. This has been such a great few days for me, guiding myself back to my source energy in an intensive time.
I heard late last night – in the middle of the night actually, that we have confirmed flights home tonight!! This is great news – as from the chaos at the airport yesterday, and the feedback we were getting, it looked unlikley. Or as I was saying ” Difficile, mais pas impossible.” (which my or may not be correct French, as I think I often string words and sentences together in a strange way – usually well enough for people to understand, but quirky enough to make them smile!!!).
It’s been really interesting to be involved in the volcano-induced, flight delays (or I suppose they are human induced in response to the volcano doing it’s natural thing, and being a volcano!). The people I travelled with have had very different reactions – some very anxious, angry, blaming, upset etc. Initially I thought I was keeping in my own space about it, by keeping away and doing my own thing. But that didn’t feel good – it was actually closing down my connection to source and cutting me off and isolating me.
Luckily I had bought, Ask and It is Given, Excuse Me Your Life is Waiting and an ipod stuffed full of great calls from Good Vibe U to listen to. It was so great to have so much support to keep my vibrations high. I was in such a beautiful place it was easy in some ways – but there were people, who couldn’t see the beauty of the place and spent the whole extra days there (which I felt as a real gift) – away from when we were in anxiety and anger. When I realised that it wasn’t working for me to isolate myself from it, I knew that the best thing I could do, was to feel as good as I could and to keep my vibration zinging as much as I could.
I used one of Lynn Grabhom’s ideas in Excuse Me Your Life is Waiting – and chose a flip phrase of self appreciation each day. So if I felt or heard myself going into any old patterns of judgement, blame, isolation etc I had a phrase handy to bring an inner smile back to me. Lynn suggests using something you like about yourself – this served a great double purpose for me – as the new body shape I am manifesting hasn’t fully arrived yet, so I had some challenges at first with being on the beach all day!!! This helped so much. I choose things like ” I love my hair” ” I love my eyes”. Everytime I said my phrase I felt that inner smile come, and my vibration rise.
It felt SO much better. I was able to be helpful and supportive to my companions in their reality of fear and anxiety, without being drawn into it. I helped in practical ways and by keeping true to myself. I was called Pollyanna, a few times!!!!!! – which I considered a great compliment. It felt good. I didn’t do any phoning or complaining to the authorities ( well, hardly any…..). I held a picture in my mind and felt the feelings of us all getting on the plane, and things working out easily and smoothly, and of us arriving home in the best possible way.
It was a great practice to me, and all the time, I can feel that sense of being home, that I always feel when I sit to meditate. A homecoming to the real me, to my source.
I love this song – on both the inner and outer level. At times, in my life, I’ve felt that I was constantly on the road even when I in my physical home. I’ve felt I was performing. Thank God, I rarely feel those things now, and can feel the discomfort of them much more quickly, and can find a way back to my real “home” much more easily.
What do you do to get that feeling of “home” in yourself? I’d love it if you’d share your ways – leave a comment so others can learn from you.
